President Trump issued a new executive order that will reduce refugee admissions by more than half, grind all resettlements to a halt and indefinitely ban Syrian refugees from entering the United States. This ban places children who are fleeing for their lives at great risk.
Refugee children, like 4-year old Nada* who fled her Syrian home with her family – have been terrorized. They are not terrorists.
Please urge President Trump to revoke the ban.

Dear President Trump,
I support refugee resettlement in the U.S. I am strongly opposed to the executive order that would slash refugee admissions, grind all resettlements to a halt, and stop resettling refugees from certain countries.
The overwhelming number of the 65 million people fleeing war and persecution are women and children. These children have been terrorized; they are not terrorists. This ban puts their safety and their lives at great risk.
Refugees already go through extensive vetting. A refugee’s identity is checked against law enforcement and intelligence databases of at least five federal agencies, a process that takes nearly two years. If there is any doubt about who a refugee is, he or she is not admitted to the United States.
Welcoming refugees sends a strong message to groups that want to do us harm – the United States is still a leader for liberty in the world.
I urge you to revoke this ban.
