Petition against the water Basins on the corner of Hawthornden Avenue and Wilding Boulevard in Annie's Landing Ellenbrook

  • by: John O'Reilly
  • recipient: City of Swan Council and LWP Property Group

The water Basins on the corner of Hawthornden Avenue and Wilding Boulevard in Annie's Landing Ellenbrook contain a considerable amount of water and is very very slow to drain away. With the amount of water in these Basins our children cannot play outside our homes as there is a risk of drowning. Also with the amount of stagnant water bring insects and mosquito brings the risk of diseases such as Ross River virus (RRV) disease, Barmah Forest virus (BFV) disease, Murray Valley, encephalitis (MVE) & Kunjin disease (KUN).

For people who bought the land in this area this was not made clear that these areas were water basins and now are left with a very untidy and hazards area.

I have being communating with LWP about the concers of these water Basins. they have being trying to Move the water to different areas of the basins. but not resolving the issues.
