Farm workers are dying from heat. In fact, since California issued its 2005 regulations to keep farm workers from dying of extreme heat, preventable farm worker deaths have continued to occur at a similar pace.

We cannot allow this to continue! The Farm Worker Safety Act (AB 2346) would empower farm workers to enforce mandatory shade and drinking water requirements without any cost to taxpayers.

Governor Brown has not signaled what he will do once AB 2346 comes to his desk for signature. An endorsement from the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal-OSHA) would help convince Governor Brown and ensure that no more farm workers needlessly died.

Please ask the Director of Cal-OSHA for her endorsement of this critical bill. The problem of heat-related farm worker deaths must be solved!
