Support Cristin's Goal to Help More Native Youth Become Dentists

Cristin Haase's dream is to help more Native youth become dentists for their communities by creating a mentorship program. As a dental student herself, she is already well on her way to realizing her own dream, and wants to help other Native Americans become dentists as well.

Cristin's project would create a mentorship program that would help realize young students' dreams of becoming dentists. She plans to start the initiative at her dental school in Arizona by bringing American Indian youth and young adults to the campus and pairing them with student mentors.

There are only about 250 American Indian dentists today, and even fewer in Indian Health Service and tribal-run clinics. Helping more Native youth become dentists fulfills a vital need.
