Don't Let Kids in Crisis Spend the Holidays Alone

The holidays are a joyous time for many. But it will be an especially lonely time for thousands of children who are abused, neglected, and even kicked out of their homes.

Dino is one of those children. When he was just 12 years old, his mother and her boyfriend got into an argument, and she was given an ultimatum: choose between the boyfriend and the kids.

She chose her boyfriend.

Dino and his 17 year old sister were kicked out of the house with nowhere to go -- all their relatives were in prison, addicted to drugs, or mentally ill. The people at the homeless shelter were aggressive towards them. Finally, Dino discovered a safe haven: Mercy Home for Boys & Girls.

Mercy Home for Boys & Girls is a Catholic based organization that's helped hundreds of troubled youth in Chicago. Open to anyone who walks through their doors, Mercy Home provides shelter, guidance, and care for kids in crisis. Now Dino has a safe place to rest his head at night, excels in school, and plays guitar during music therapy.

Together, we can help more kids like Dino. Please support Mercy Home for Boys & Girls' mission to keep kids out of crisis, and don't let neglected and abused youth spend the holidays alone.
