Stop Abortion Opponents from Turning Lies into Laws in Pennsylvania

All over the country, abortion opponents are quietly passing laws forcing doctors to lie to patients, and interfering with how they practice medicine.

In some states, doctors are forced to tell patients of a false link between abortion and breast cancer. In 2012, abortion opponents in Pennsylvania notoriously proposed that women seeking abortion care undergo a medically unnecessary transvaginal ultrasound. Recently, they even tried to outlaw a common and safe abortion method in order to force doctors to use a less medically proven technique.

Meanwhile, Pennsylvania routinely ranks low across all key indicators of women’s health and economic security.

The Pennsylvania Campaign for Women's Health is a growing collaboration of more than 50 local, state and national organizations calling for evidence-based policy solutions to real problems faced by Pennsylvania families. We are fighting government interference in the doctor-patient relationship, promoting equal access to the full range of reproductive healthcare including abortion, and calling for common-sense protections for women in the workplace.

I stand with the Pennsylvania Campaign for Women's Health for evidence-based policy solutions for women across the state. Let's keep politics out of women's health.
