Canada's Minister of Finance, Honourable Joe Oliver, lower/eliminate the outrageous banking fees

Canada's Banks are committing wholesale "Highway Robbery" on the backs of their helpless and defenceless banking customers worldwide. Our banks make enough profits from the interest charges on loans, mortgages etc. They do not need to gouge and abuse their naive customers with ripoff fees for even the smallest and most trivial transactions.

According to the government, retailers in Canada pay some of the highest transaction fees to credit-card companies and banks in the world. Canadian Finance Minister Joe Oliver is putting the pressure on companies and banks to accept lower fees and reduce costs for retailers including small businesses. Lowering these fees will benefit consumers in Canada.

Oliver wants credit-card companies and banks to voluntarily reduce fees by about 10 percent; he is, though, reluctant to impose regulation.

Tell Oliver to reduce -- or even remove -- the outrageous fees Canadians pay to credit-card companies and banks!
