Tell Congress to Restore Education Funding Cuts

The devastating effects of government budget cuts on education have now become evident. Head Start programs are being closed and teachers are being laid off.

Today, only 26% of high schoolers are ready for college coursework, and roughly the same number drop out of high school before graduating. Cutting federal education funding will only make things worse.

Education spending accounts for less than 4% of the federal budget, but our lawmakers keep making cuts to valuable education programs. Our children shouldn't be the ones that pay the price for the budget gridlock in Congress.

We grow stronger as a country when children have the resources they need for success in school and life. Our kids are our future, and if we don't invest in them today, we won't be prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.

Taking a hatchet to education is no way to solve the fiscal crisis in America. Take a stand and demand that Congress restore funding to education.
