The first 1,000 days of a child’s life can mean the difference between a promising future or one plagued by poor health and stunted growth.
Yet around the world, nearly 200 million children are chronically malnourished and suffer from serious, often irreversible, physical and cognitive damage.
All of this is preventable.
The UN World Food Programme (WFP) is committed to ensuring all children receive the nutrition they need during the first 1,000 days. Last year, WFP reached 7.3 million children under the age of two and 3 million pregnant and nursing mothers with special nutritional support.
Take action today to support World Food Programme’s efforts to reach infants with critical nutrition to help secure their future and the future of our planet.
