Latino communities have worked for years to preserve the majestic San Gabriel Mountains of southern California, and President Obama has finally answered our call for action. Sign our message to President Obama to thank him for permanently protecting southern California’s beautiful San Gabriel Mountains today!
The San Gabriels are the source of more than one-third of Los Angeles County's clean drinking water, constitutes 70 percent of its open space, and helps clean the region's polluted air. It's a favorite spot for over 3 million visitors each year for picnicking, hiking, hunting, fishing, and horseback riding. No matter where you're from, these majestic mountains are a national treasure.
President Barack Obama has the authority to protect these lands. He has protected 12 natural and historic parks around the country as National Monuments already and just made the San Gabriels his 13th!
Help us make sure the Obama Administration knows that Latinos around the country appreciate its work in permanently protecting the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument so we can all enjoy it for generations to come. Add your name to our thank you message.
