Thank Michelle Obama for the First White House Garden in 60 Years
Target:Michelle Obama, First Lady Sponsored by:Care2
Since Inauguration Day 2009, many changes have come to the White House. Just last week, First Lady Michelle Obama broke ground for the first vegetable garden at the White House since Eleanor Roosevelt's victory garden during World War II.
The 1,100 square foot garden will supply the White House kitchen with organic vegetables and honey from two bee hives. Author Michael Pollan attests that gardening "...teaches important habits of mind - helping people to reconnect with their food, eat more healthily on a budget and recognize that we're less dependent on the industrial food chain, and cheap fossil fuel, than we assume."
Send a note of thanks to First Lady Obama and let her know that we appreciate the good example she is setting for the nation!

I feel so pleasd about everything she is doing, I even asked my self why I can't do the same things, her example is so convicting I am overwelmed and I feel I will have to make some changes in my life and my family priorities. I am totally impressed and I would like to encourage her to keep doing the things she does because she is a great example to the young people who have lost the value of the basic things for example her vegetable garden. You won't know how much I appriciate her work because it's dear to me and my wife.
Thank you Frist lady Obama, we owe you for teaching us somethings we have forgotten.

Support from local communities to grow gardens such as this would be an affordable alternative to those of us who cannot grow a garden due to space restrictions or cannot afford organic produce.

The garden is kinds cool, good job on that I guess. But the whole hearts and doves Obama image isn't gonna last much longer. Your husband needs to step up and grow some balls, there are issues that need to be tackled. I'd appreciate it if you could pass on the message to him for me, thanks! :-)
