Keep baseball veterans in the Dugout

PLEASE HELP THESE FAITHFUL BASEBALL PLAYERS FROM SUCH A LONG TIME AGO STAY IN THE DUGOUTS OF MLB.PLEASE READ BELOW TO FIND OUT MORE.

FOR DECADES JOHNNY PESKY HAS BEEN IN THE RED SOX DUGOUT AND AT AL,MOST EVERY GAME SINCE THE 1940'S. IM SURE OTHER GREATS OF OTHER MLB TEAMS HAVE STAYED WITH THEIR TEAM AS WELL. THE MLB COMMITY IS DEVELOPING A RULE THAT IS NO LONGER ALLOWING PEOPLE LIKE JOHNNY PESKY TO SIT IN THE DUGOUTS ANYMORE.THIS IS NOT RIGHT TO DO TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN IN THE DUGOUTS OF BASEBALL FOR SUCH A LONG TIME.

HERE ARE SOME ARTICLES FROM THE BOSTON GLOBE AND IM SURE THER IS PLENTY MORE THROUGHT THE MLB CLUB.

"FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Johnny Pesky, who turns 88 in September, has been hit with another eviction notice by Major League Baseball.MLB once again has decided to strictly enforce its rule governing who is allowed in a team's dugout during a game, which means Pesky, who is in his 55th season with the club, can no longer sit on the bench during games. He'll still be allowed in uniform before games, and on the field and in the clubhouse, but must vacate the dugout before the first pitch."

"IT APPEARS that the rule of unintended consequences is rearing its ugly head in the decision to keep Johnny Pesky off the Red Sox bench this year .Major League Baseball is certainly entitled to expect teams to abide by all the rules. However, this situation warrants a closer look at the one that regulates the number of coaches in the dugout. To remove a baseball icon like Johnny Pesky from the mix in the Red Sox dugout is like removing a grandfather at Thanksgiving. Is he setting the table? No. Is he cooking the turkey? No. Is he washing the dishes? No. But his presence is invaluable.

Men who have been involved with baseball for so many years have a great deal to offer the younger players. The collective wisdom from these veteran players is without equal.Their presence also evokes nostalgia in older fans, who relate stories to their grandchildren, thus fostering the family quality that baseball so encourages.Rather than restricting the Red Sox , perhaps the rule should be broadened to include one veteran player from each team, a coach emeritus, in the dugout. Embrace the heritage of baseball."
