Stop Attacking Canada's Environment and Bullying Canadian Citizens!

The Enbridge Northern Gateway pipeline and tanker project proposes transporting Tar Sands crude from Alberta to British Colombia's north coast, crossing nearly 800 of Canada's waterways, including important salmon rivers, before reaching the coast of the majestic Great Bear Rainforest.

The project would introduce high risk of oil spills, especially given the coast's treacherous waters. Endangered woodland caribou, salmon spawning grounds and a diverse marine ecosystem home to orcas and sea otters are all under threat if Enbridge's project goes through.

Worse still are the preposterous attempts to silence opposition. One Conservative even said "any group that protests developing Alberta's oilsands should lose its charitable status."

This is a matter that deserves an open debate by the Canadian people, not intimidation and scare tactics by our own government. Demand that the government stop its attack on democracy and our citizens for standing up for the environment, First Nations, and wildlife.
I'm a Canadian. I care about Canada's salmon rivers, our pristine West Coast, and wild places like the majestic Great Bear Rainforest. I care about the rights of Canadians to express any view point. And I won't be silenced.

I speak for future generations. I speak for our ability to openly debate the issues. And I demand that the government stop its attack on democracy, our citizens, and our wilderness.

Sincerely,
