Stop the Uncontrolled Sale of "Explosive Kits for Dummies"

  • by: Heather Mcnamara

It's called Tannerite, or exploding targets, and can be purchased online or at gun shops without any questions asked. The head of Maryland's bomb squad calls them "explosive kits for dummies" as all you need to do is mix the two components and you've got a bomb.

40lbs of Tannerite can blow up a house! Current regulations only apply AFTER the two components are mixed...Even though the components are sold together!

Maryland has put in place sensible rules about the sale of Tannerite, but so far they are the only state to do so. Urge the Department of Justice to follow Maryland's lead and take action by creating new Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) rules on the sale of Tannerite.

We do not need to be selling explosives openly and without regulation in the United States of America! We need to do everything we can to prevent terrorist attacks at all costs! Please help me by signing this petition!

Please begin the regulatory process of creating point of sale controls for products such as Tannerite and other exploding targets.
