India today currently has the largest wild tiger population remaining in the world. Yet, despite world-renowned reserves to protect the Royal Bengal tiger from extinction, their numbers are slipping away.

For a large and majestic creature to be removed from the ecosystem, the whole natural environment will ultimately fall apart. Such a beautiful and symbolic animal should not be threatened by extinction. |

If only tigers could vote! To save them, should be a national priority and an emergency need to be declared. State governments need to pull up their socks and deploy a trained Rapid Action force in thier parks and reserves to deal with poachers and wildlife terrorist. Hope they finally wake up and smell the rot of tiger's skin.. | |

Tigers are one of the most beautiful creatures to ever walk this earth. Tigers were roaming free long before humans were humans. We should be ashamed that we are the reason the Tiger is almost extinct in the wild. Instead of admiring the Tiger and letting it roam free and wild what do we do--we kill them for sport, farm them for rediculous snack foods and discusting tiger wine, sell their "private parts," teeth and claws as potency enhancers and stupid trinkets. We should be ashamed to call ourselves civilized when we treat a fellow creature in such a manner. We must end this senseless killing of the Tiger before it is too late and there are no more Tigers in the wild. If you have the power to save the Tiger from extinction, please do so now. Extinction is forever. |

Save India's Bengal Tigers that Face Imminent Extinction!
The Royal Bengal tiger of India is one of just 5 remaining species of tiger in the world today. Their populations are declining at an alarming rate and are threatened with imminent extinction in the wild. These declines have continued despite the tiger being listed on Appendix I of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
All over India, key tiger areas are being destroyed for industrial concerns at the whim of politicians seeking to line their own pockets. The direct result is a country that loses an average of one tiger a day from its dwindling population to poaching for trade, habitat loss and prey decline.
By destroying the tigers' habitat, you are also destroying the environment that local people depend on for food and water. The tiger is a symbol of the overall health of India, its environment and its people. We are all together in this small world and it is critical to protect the environment now, before it is too late.
Each undersigned name represents 1 remaining tiger in your country today, and wishes to express deep disappointment with the Indian Ministry of the Environment and forest officials for their continuing failure to take appropriate efforts in the protection of the tiger.
To do nothing today, leaves us all fewer, if any, options for tomorrow.
Sincerely
the Undersigned.
