Should the largest cycling event in the world allow it's participants to be invited to raise $$$ for the charities of their (the participants') choice?

We the undersigned, ask that RONA Hardware withdraw as a sponsor of Le Tour de l'Ile de Montreal, if the event will not allow the Mayor of Montreal to invite the event's participants to be invited to raise funds for charity.
