Victims of tragtic apartment fire left with nothing, yet other tenents receive 1500.00 and 2 monts free rent due to the construction behind schedule

Am apartment fire on %th street took out all belongings 8 occupants. One man was stuck in his apartment, he was located on the top floor of the complex, he was blind. One other occupant 90 percent blind, and one other in a wheel chair where also on top floor. There was no fire escapt for any of the tenants who live on the top floor. All occupants all survived the blind man sustainded injuries and was flew to Lubbock, TX and is doing well. The apartment complex nor did the Carlsbad Police do anything to comfort these people. A big shout out to the Carlsbad Firefighters for a most excellent and caring job. The occupants had to sit in 101 degree weather all being elderly and or disabled for 6 hours. These occupants lost everything, they were moved to nasty apartments on the location and still had to pay rent. We the undersigned believe they have not been treated fairly. You gave 1500.00 and two months free rent to occupants not involved in the fire, yet you did nothing for these 8 occupants who lost everything. Why are they not entitled to that 1500.00 and 2 free months rent:: They lost food, clothing furniture, personal belongings that can not be replaced. Where is the justice in this. HUD housing do inspections every month. Where were the up stair apartments fire escapes, and why do these people not get compensated and treated with the same respect as those who were not involved in this disaster We the undersigned believe your treatment is unfair and inhumane:
