Stop Shark Finning In The Galapagos

I have heard about the possibility of a ruling to release the Maria Canella II, a Costa Rican industrial long liner illegally shark finning within the Galapagos Marine Reserve The Maria Canella II was caught red handed with 1,044 shark fins, 78 shark carcasses, and over 25 miles of long line within the limits of the Galapagos Marine Reserve. It even had Galapagos sharks on this very long line. Please show your concern for our World Heritage Site and your Natural Heritage Site and ensure that the Maria Canella II is punished accordingly. Thank you for your time and dedication.
President Gustavo Noboa,

I have heard about the possibility of a ruling to release the Maria Canella II, a Costa Rican industrial long liner illegally shark finning within the Galapagos Marine Reserve

The Maria Canella II was caught red handed with 1,044 shark fins, 78 shark carcasses, and over 25 miles of long line within the limits of the Galapagos Marine Reserve. It even had Galapagos sharks on this very long line.

Special Law of Galapagos states the following as illegal:

1. Maria Canella II is a foreign fishing vessel.

2. Maria Canella II is an industrial fishing vessel.

3. Maria Canella II is a long liner.

4. Maria Canella II is a shark finner.

This cannot happen. Ecuador must express its concern for Galapagos and its dedication to the protection of this remarkable archipelago and confiscate the Maria Canella II.

Please show your concern for our World Heritage Site and your Natural Heritage Site and ensure that the Maria Canella II is punished accordingly. Thank you for your time and dedication.

Sincerely,
