Many of us take for granted our access to clean water, but in the developing world, an estimated one billion people don't have access to safe water, causing the deaths of 2 million children under the age of five each year.

Oral rehydration salts (ORS) are a simple combination of salt, sugar and clean water, but they save 1 million children annually from the ravages of diarrheal diseases.

At a cost of just 7 cents per packet, you can understand why parents who have used UNICEF's ORS to save their children's lives call it a "miracle." And you can help bring this "miracle" of ORS to more children around the world.
