In as few as 50 years, America's polar bears could be gone.
New research by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) predicts dramatic declines in polar bear populations as global warming melts the Arctic sea ice these bears depend on for survival. It has never been so urgent to reduce global warming emissions and protect polar bears from extinction.
In light of these findings, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has reopened a brief, two week comment period on its January 2007 proposal to list polar bears as "threatened" under the Endangered Species Act.
No more delays or excuses - it's time to protect polar bears and their melting homes. Sign our petition to submit your official public comment urging the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to protect polar bears from extinction!

As the dominant species on this earth, we should feel obligated to help those who can not help themselves. Polar bears are losing their habitat due to our irresposible life styles of wasting gas, wasting resources and polluting the earth.
