The RSPCA is calling for tougher laws to stop the inhumane slaughter of feral pigs in Queensland saying online videos show horrendous acts of cruelty, according to a report in the News Mail.

The RSPCA has reported videos of animal cruelty on YouTube with hunters using dogs to maul pigs for long periods.

Furthermore, politicians have called for hunters who kill wild pigs inhumanely to be prosecuted.

The RSPCA said in parts of rural Queensland there was a "culture" of inhumanely and illegally killing wild pigs - including posting videos of cruelty to social media.

In Queensland it is legal to hunt wild pigs with dogs, but the animals must be killed humanely.

All animals, even those deemed as feral pests, deserve to be treated humanely. Will you join me in urging the Queensland Government to introduces tough laws and sentencing for hunters who kill feral pigs inhumanely?
