Demand responsible leadership on climate change in Australia.

The devastating effects of climate change have come to Australia... and they are getting worse.

2014 was officially the hottest year on record in Australia. And as 2015 began, New South Wales, South Australia, and Victoria struggled with stifling heat waves and raging bushfires.

Australia's hottest days are getting even hotter. Our heatwaves are lasting longer. And our bushfire season is increasing in severity.

But even as the climate crisis worsens, the Australian government has dismantled climate laws, undermined renewables investment and flouted Australia's commitment to an internationally agreed upon target to keep global warming in check.

There can be no more excuses. It's time for responsible leadership on climate change in Australia — for all political parties to commit to a clear plan to reduce pollution.

2015 is a critical year. At the UN climate conference in Paris this December, global leaders must strike a deal to combat the pollution causing climate change. Already the US, China and the EU have shown leadership. Now Australia needs to step up to the plate.

Will you join the fight? Join Australian Conservation Foundation's campaign now and demand that Australia's leaders honour their commitment to address the climate crisis.
