Bill Bailey for The Hobbit

TO GET BILL BAILEY IN THE HOBBIT

In light of the fact that Bill Bailey auditioned unsuccessfully for the part of Gimli in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, this petition is intended to get him a part for the 2009 up-and-coming feature film The Hobbit - the prequel to J.R.R.Tolkiens LOTR, and specifically for the part of Balin, or another one of the leading dwarves.

The final choice for Gimli in the LOTR trilogy, J Rhys-Davies, was a great choice, and a very funny one. However, Bill Bailey would bring a unique humor to the tales, and would greatly add to the quality of the films.

For those of you who do not know of him, Bill Bailey is one of the most reknowned British stand-up comedians and actors. He is best known for the hit TV show 'Black Books', 'Is it Bill Bailey?', and the soon to be released feature film 'Hot Fuzz', alongside Nick Frost and Simon Pegg.

The target is Andrew Form, the producer of the Hobbit.

So, anyone who is interested in making this feature a little better, and a lot funnier, sign up!
