Our cat Baby was shot my our neighbor. He was a friend for 27 years and we had not been talking to each other for almost a year. He denied shooting her following admitting to shooting her after he was arrested. Baby was shot in the leg and was taken to the local Animal Hospital were she had to lay for 2 days with gun shot wound needing her leg amputated until donations paid for half the bill and we had to apply for credit on the other half of bill. Baby at the time was nursing 3 kittens and while she was away we had to feed kittens with droppers every 3-4 hours taking the momma away from her kittens when they needed her the most. He hasn't offered to pay any Vet bills. Baby was just more than a house cat as a Veteran she was my emotional support animal. Now that bond is broken.

Subject been charged with Animal Cruelty in Kentucky is a Class A misdemeanor in the Second Degree. A Class A misdemeanor is punishable by 90 days to 12 months in jail and a fine of up to $500 in Kentucky.

Baby is adjusting to life with only three legs. She came back from hospital and has been taking care of her kittens. Its hard for her to walk and get in and out of liter box. She now has to be lead on a leash outside because she will always be a target for other animals.
