Please continue to stand strong and to speak your truth. "The Audacity of Hope" was a major decider in my vote for you as president, Mr. Obama. Our country has felt hopeless for too long. Now you have brought hope back to us. Please continue to challenge the nay-sayers and the outright lies. Speak your ideas and beliefs loudly and clearly. Don't let them shout you down and do not be tempted to reply in kind. Don't lower yourself to the level of their actions and words.

Dearest President Obama, I have so much faith in you !!! You, more than anybody, have what is required to get this done. It is said that Culture (knowledge) and Identity are inversely proportionate. The more knowledge we have, the less we identify with any one particular group in its totality. What is observed, seems to indicate that opponents of Health Care Reform are more intent in identifying with the Republican agenda than in learning the facts and drawing their own conclusions. Please, please, please, do not give up. You know better. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours for success in these endeavors.

My hopes for you are first and foremost that you will stand up and stop the Republicans/Conservatives from their smear campaign. It is unthinkable and you don't deserve it. If you stop them and act like it is not okay, they will stop. That is how both Bushs acted and they were actually at fault. My other hopes include: healthcare with a public option, tackling climate change, moving cars from gasoline to an alternate fuel, and stoping No Child Left Behind. As a independent voter.... I had high hopwes that congress would work together finally to address the issues of our people.
