From the moment you meet Antonio, you realize he has already developed a larger-than-life personality. For his family, it's a treat to have such a wonderful boy -- especially for all he's been through.

Antonio is undergoing treatment for acute lymphocytic leukemia, coupled with a rare and complex chronic fungal infection.

Antonio is a true fighter. Anytime his family is having a hard time accepting his illness, they look at their playful, energetic four-year-old and their mood instantly changes.

In Canada, about 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. Cancer continues to be the most common cause of disease-related death in Canadian children. This is an unacceptable statistic, and we need to do everything we can to change it.
