Hi, my name is Bear. I'm being wrongfully accused. I'm scared in here and want to go to a loving forever home.

SAVE this dog, Bear!  Free Bear!

Target:
Niagara County DA's Office; City of Lockport Police
Sponsored by:
Bear has been at the shelter since July 10th 2007 confined in a 3x6 foot concrete kennel with out exercise or proper health care. This is inhumane treatment of any animal. The case has not progressed since July and there is NO reason to keep Bear locked up any longer. Bear should be released to a rescue where he will receive vet care, exercise and proper treatment and training until the case is closed.

*Please be advised many here have commented asking how the dog took the boys pants off.  According to the mother, she was changing the childs diaper so his pants were already off.*

I am being wrongfully accused and am scared.  PLEASE help in my release to a loving home or rescue!

Please write, fax, email, call to show support for Bear at:

We the undersigned:

Kindly ask that you please improve Bears conditions by allowing him to be released to a rescue where he will be cared for, receive the fresh air and exercise that every animal needs, have his health needs met and be trained and ready for possible adoption once this case is resolved. There have been many rescues that have offered to take Bear and care for him, as well as those that wish to adopt Bear.

We appreciate you taking the time to review this matter and look forward to hearing from you.

This is no way to treat an animal. He needs to be released to a loving home where hopefully he can learn to trust humans again. i am ashamed of mankind when i here stories like this.

Having read the statement regarding the dog's behaviour I must ask 2 important questions that do not appear to have been asked (if they have, they are not on the website) 1. Were any samples taken from the boy to see if there was any dog or human semen present? 2. Have the family been assessed for child abuse? Having raised children myself and having seen many other people raise children, when a child's nappy/diaper is changed, we have all the paraphenalia that we need to hand before removing it. This helps to ensure the safety of the child if he/she is on a raised platform so that they do not fall off and hurt themselves or if the child is on the floor, that the mess ie faeces and urine, is contained. It appears to me that the charge is a fabrication to cover up something more serious and this needs immediate investigation. I make no apology if I have caused distress as this is a serious matter and we need to ensure the boy is safe. I severely doubt that the dog is capable of attacking the boy in this manner and his ill treatment is a statement to the lack of care and interest of the vulnerable in the Florida justice system. Please show that it does exist by releasing Bear into a loving home.

Disgusting!!! Even our own murderers and criminals are treated better and being humans they knew right from wrong and made a choice! This poor dog deserves our help and support and a good home. RELEASE BEAR!!!!!!

I have never heard of such egregious behavior by a dog. Surely the poor creature must have been "trained" to do this. Whatever the case might be, until the Court makes a decision about poor Bear's fate, he deserves to stay in a nice foster home instead of a concrete kennel without human contact.

Animal Services is supposed to protect animals. Animal Services remove animals from abusive situations. It seems as if Animal Services is now breaking it's own rules by not protecting this animal and giving the dog the care it deserves. They need to step up to the plate and either take better care of this animal or transfer it to a rescue where the animal could be properly cared for. I don't care what the "legal" level of care is, they should be a role model and provide excellent level of care of the animals in their protection.

That is the most stupid thing I have ever heard of! Was it proven in a hospital that this dog commited this act? This is a sweet dog never accused of ever harming a human being and you expect me to believe this? Not going to! He is being unjustly accused of something that is unsubstantiated and is being cruelly housed and never exercised or treated kindly! Save Bear and free him from his captivity and find him a loving home! This woman is not worthy of such a dog's love!
