Despite public outcry, the U.S. House of Representatives has already passed the dangerous TRAIN Act.
If signed into law, the TRAIN Act would indefinitely delay the clean-up of toxic power plant air pollution -- exposing our children to even more poisonous air.
Now it's up to the Senate to halt this hazardous measure.

This rule would allow power plants to continue to dirty our air and poison our communities. If we delay the EPA's clean air standards even one year, we could see up to 25,300 lives lost due to smog, soot, and toxic air pollution; more than 11,00 heart attacks; more than 120,000 asthma attacks; and over 12,200 more hospital and emergency room visits.
These critical clean air standards won't kill jobs, but their delay will most certainly kill people. We do not have to choose between jobs and clean air. We can have both.
The unregulated poisoning of our air must come to an end. I joined Moms Clean Air Force to protect my children and future generations from the dangerous health hazards caused by toxic air.
We all have a right to breathe clean air, and I urge you to fight for our health and oppose the TRAIN Act.
