South Dakota: Let Women Make Unbiased Decisions

The ongoing battle to allow women seeking abortions to make their own unbiased decision took another hit recently with the passing of a new law in South Dakota.

The law states that doctors must now inform women seeking abortions that they have "an existing relationship with [the] unborn human being and that the relationship enjoys protection under" national and state law.

Laws like this continue to crop up under the guise of informing the abortion seeker. However, this is a clear manipulation strategy and must not be tolerated.

A woman is under immense emotional stress as she navigates her life changing decision to either have or abort her potential child. This decision should be hers and hers alone. Attempting to guilt her into either getting or rejecting an abortion with biased information could lead her to make a decision that she regrets for the rest of her life.

Don't stand for the manipulation of abortion seeking women. Demand that this law be repealed.
The new law requiring women to be informed that they have a preexisting relationship with their unborn child poses a threat to their right to make an unbiased decision.

The decision to keep a potential child or abort it is an incredibly difficult one. It is also life changing and the wrong decision could result in a lifetime of regret either due to giving up the child or being unable to provide with a lifestyle that allows it to grow and flourish.

Biasing women in either direction is a violation of their decision. They should have the right to unbiased information and this means choosing what information they receive. Repeal this law immediately.
