Stop Oregon Cougar Extermination

Oregon Fish and Wildlife is exterminating more than half of Oregon's Cougars. They are trying kill all but 2,500 of them including kittens and their mothers. The more mothers they kill, the more hungry orpans wander into towns and the more ODFW increases the kill. Cougars raise more kittens when there is less competition for food. Mothers teach them to avoid humans. Killing the Moms increases encounters with humans, a false population indicator.
Please tell Governor Kulongoski to stop the massacure of Oregon's proud Mountain Lions, Stop the Oregon Cougar Plan and hound hunting.
Dear Governor Ted Kulongoski, We the undersigned request that you stop your Fish and Wildlife Department from exterminating Oregon's Cougars.  It violates the public trust to exterminate our wildlife. Our Cougars are very highly valued by most of us.  They belong to everyone, entrusted to the State to conserve for future generations to enjoy. Please respect the voters and our majestic Mountain Lions. Please replace Ron Anglin with an ecologist and revoke the Cougar Management Plan. Thank you.
