Give Trader Joe's Some Tough Love!

More than a half-million American consumers have signed our petitions to Trader Joe's to stop selling meat raised on antibiotics. But company officials have said NO.

We're not going to quit you, Trader Joe's! We think the company just needs some tough love to understand that saving our nation's antibiotics for when you really need them is critically important to your family's health.

Send your special Valentine's Day message now asking company officials to meet with Consumers Union to discuss ways to source and sell only beef, poultry and pork raised without antibiotics.

If we can convince a huge national grocer like Trader Joe's to stop selling antibiotic-raised meat, factory farms will start changing their practices. Send your Valentine message now - use our words or give them your own special love!
Mr. Bane,

Unrequited love is the worst. More than a half-million customers have signed a petition asking Trader Joe's to stop selling beef, poultry and pork raised on antibiotics, yet you have not shown us any love and continue to sell antibiotic-raised meat.

In the spirit of love this Valentine's Day, I ask you to meet with Consumers Union and other groups to discuss how you can source and sell only meat raised without these drugs.

It is vital to my family's health that the overuse of antibiotics in our nation stop, and you can change how factory farms do business by refusing to sell meat raised on drugs. Your current policy of selling both antibiotic-raised and non-antibiotic raised meat will not change the marketplace, and I'm asking you to listen to customers and eliminate the sale of antibiotic-raised meat.

Sincerely,
