Bullying is a serious problem that affects millions of kids and teens of all races and classes. Bullying and cyberbullying are at an all-time high; one out of four kids is bullied and 42 percent of kids are cyberbullied.
Many people don't understand how extreme bullying can get. That's why Love Our Children USA aggressively focuses on educating people about bullying and cyberbullying... breaking the cycle of violence against children.
Bullying is NOT a "normal right of passage" in growing up; bullying is intentional cruelty, harassment and emotional, physical and sometimes sexual abuse. This behavior can set the tone for a lifetime of intentional cruelty or worse. And the consequences to the victim can seriously affect them for the rest of their lives. When bullying goes unnoticed or ignored, some victims are so tormented they turn to suicide.
Don't let this behavior continue. Pledge today to end bullying!
Six Ways to STOMP Out Bullying: 1. Report Bullying -- Explain what happened to a school administrator and ensure that something is done. 2. Be a Friend to Someone who is Being Bullied -- Show a kid who is being bullied that you care about them. 3. Stand Up to the Bully -- Tell the bully that what they are doing is unacceptable. 4. Learn Who the Bullies are at Your Child's School -- When and where does bullying happen in school and who is involved? 5. Spread the word to STOMP Out Bullying - Has your child's school adopted a NO TOLERANCE stand against bullying? If so, do they enforce it? Talk with a teacher, school counselor, or the principal about starting a program at your child's school.
6. Join Love Our Children USA for the National Bullying Prevention Awareness Week, October 4-10, and wear a blue shirt to end bullying on Blue Shirt Day, October 5th. STOMP Out Bullying!
We have to take responsibility for what goes on in our schools, playgrounds and online. Bullying is unacceptable behavior with serious consequences. Pledge to stomp out bullying before more kids are affected.

I have brought my children up to understand the harm such cruel actions can cause.
I condemn bullying any chance I get.
It is amazing how many adults don't get the extent of harm this can inflict.

As someone that was bullied to a ridiculous extent, I know how damaging it is, and the lifelong damage it can create. I'm going to do everything I can to make sure this ends.

Teachers should enforce the "NO TOLERANCE " stand against bullying. I'm sure most of them do & do an exceptional job. However, there are some that give the rest of their profession a bad name. They either too busy or simply don't care about it!
