Many of you grew up with Bosco. I certainly did. Though there were only a few episodes ever created, we didn't mind. We would watch them over and over again, hoping to see the one where Bosco goes into his box, or the one where he went to the zoo. Whenever the name "Bosco" arises people think fondly of their childhoods and remember how much they loved that little puppet. He is still in our memories too - mention his name and a heated discussion about his gender will most certainly arise.

I think Bosco is two much of a good thing to forget about. That is why I am setting up a petition to get Bosco back on the air. Some of the old episodes, so that kids have something decent to watch, instead of some rediculous flubbery yoke that speaks its own language and rolls about the place.

I do realise the impossibility that Bosco will never be shown again on TV. So my second proposal is that RTE release Bosco's episodes onto DVD. It's a win-win situation. Many people around the country can watch Bosco and re-live their childhood, RTE make a fortune.
