Orphan Mothers in Botswana, Jamaica, Cambodia and Lebanon Need our Support

Every child deserves to grow up in a family, with love, respect, and security. But war, poverty and HIV/AIDS have left too many children without families and access to basics rights, including education and health care.

Fortunately, selfless women have been giving motherly love to up to ten boys and girls at a time through the SOS Children's Villages' program.

These women provide a much-needed family structure where siblings can grow up together in homes located near schools, clinics and a range of other community resources.

Each child receives education and training according to his or her needs, so that as adults they are able to achieve the goals of self-reliance, financial independence and social integration.

Without the mothers who through their dedication and love enable these children to overcome the trauma and loss they’ve experienced, their future would remain a bleak one.

With World Orphan Week (WOW) 2007 just around the corner, take action on behalf of children by sending your words of support to SOS mothers in Botswana, Jamaica, Cambodia and Lebanon!
