Demand the Truth from the Bush Administration!
Target: George Bush, President; ;Sponsored by: Democratic National Committee
When President Bush told the American people on Sunday, September 7th, that he needed $87 billion from Congress for the reconstruction and occupation of Iraq, it was about twice what the administration had been saying we need.
And now, from a Los Angeles Times report on September 9, we learn that it's tens of billions of dollars short of what we'll actually need to finish the job in Iraq.
When is Bush going to be honest with the American people? We already know that Bush:
Politicized intelligence and twisted the facts in his rush to war, including telling the American people that Iraq sought uranium from Africa after it was proven false.
Announced "mission accomplished" long before the job in Iraq was finished. More American soldiers have died in Iraq after Bush's announcement than before it.
Failed to plan for a post-Saddam Iraq or the search for weapons of mass destruction. The Pentagon issued a classified report that blasted the administration for failing to plan for what came after the military victory.
And now we find out Bush still won't come clean about how much we need to rebuild Iraq.
It's time for President Bush to tell the truth to the American people.

My son has joined the army as he believes in serving his Country. He is only 19 and just graduated this year from High School. He shouldn't have to place his life on the line for a lie. As his Mother it breaks my heart that I can't feel delighted in his service. That I feel instead that if anything does happen to him it will all be for naught, a political lie, and I'll never find any comfort in the loss. He is my only son. All I can do is pray for him and all the other young men and women who have their precious young lives on the line for a stupid lie about Iraq. Our troops should never be placed in harms way so easily as they have been. There are many leaders who don't run their countries well; but that should be up to their citizens to take them out of power, not us. After all we have our own leaders selling us and our Country down the drain to deal with. Bring our troops home.

america is becoming about control, money and greed. exactly what the bible talks about. this war is only about the money and the control, its costing so many lives in america and in other countries that are needless deaths. i personally am sick of all the lies that have contributed to the falling of our america; people need to wake up and realize what is really going on. our government will do just about anything to take control of america and run it as they see fit, without the peoples votes. we the people need desperately to take back our great america and put back in what it really stands for, which is honesty, truth, compassion and god!
