Stop the poisioning of environment, wildlife and the Burrowing Owl along our wash and trail in Marbella Community

  • recipient: We the home owners at Marbella Vineyard Community want the Marbella Vineyard HOA to stop all poisioning for rodents along the trail or wash that seperates Marbella Community with 172 ST in Gilbert AZ
Many homeowners have found dead Burrowing Owls and other wildlife along the trail. This type of poisoning is highly toxic to all creatures and especially the Burrowing Owls. When the poison is consumed by a goffer or mole the Burrowing Owl that feeds on these rodents will also die.
This is a very grave situation because the 6 known owls have all been killed
It will take years for the Burrowing Owl population to get back to what it was
The Az Fish and Game department and Wild At Heart have been notified.
An officer from The Fish and Game came and got one of the dead owls for scientific lab testing. We must take action to stop this senseless and unnecessary poisoning.
We must be the voice to help these wonderful little Owls, especially the only one Burrowing Owl that is still alive.
