Animal protection organisation wishes to ban Sphynx breeding in Switzerland
For the CONSERVATION and the PROTECTION of the CATS OF THE BREED S P H Y N X The P.S.A. (Swiss Protection of the Animals) has just informed some of the sphynx breeders about the project for a new "Law of protection of the animals" in Switzerland presented to the O.V.F. (Federal Veterinary Office) in Bern. This new regulation brings back the threat of interdiction to raise certain "tortured" breeds like the SPHYNX, which, because of its nudity and its lack of whiskers, seems to cause a problem with ethics and an attack on dignity!! to the P.S.A. These ridiculous accusations, coming from extremists, were already the subject of reactions from breeders, veterinarians and admirers of this exceptional breed, and were each time rejected so far. Once again the S.C.F. (Sphynx Club of France), special breed club with many members not only in France but also in Switzerland, Belgium, Italy... proposes to send documents, testimonies and signatures from the petition in its possession to the O.V.F. in Bern, in order to fight these false ideas and to prove that the SPHYNX is a healthy cat, which does not suffer. We therefore thank all of you who with your signature and your testimony decide helping us fight these extreme actions Please do not hesitate to cross-post this petition, the conservation of this fabulous breed depends on it!
