FOR A LAW TO BE PASSED IN QUEBEC DECLARING PUPPY MILLS ILLEGAL - TO HAVE ALL EXISTING OPERATIONS SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY
Most of us hear about it now and again in the news, myself included, when some miserable person is discovered keeping dogs under horrendous conditions. We think (how awful, something should be done), but we do nothing. It takes us out of our comfort zone to have to think about it, just like looking at the horrors on the front page of the newspaper, we turn away and get on with our day.
These creatures cannot complain, they cannot scream out their misery. We must do something!

The laws are abominable in the province of Quebec, the humane societies can do very little except clean up and help the poor beasts fortunate enough to make it out and put the rest of them to “sleep.”

To get into one of these “puppy mills” an SPCA officer must have an eyewitness account of actual wilful criminal cruelty or neglect, sworn and signed by the witness and taken to a judge who decides whether to grant the warrant. If a warrant is approved, SPCA investigators must go to the police and convince them to supply the manpower to execute the search
.

Action must be taken!  We have factual, current evidence of these occurances and still a a blind eye is turned.  A law must be passed to make these places illegal with tough consequences should it be ignored.
