1,449 2:01 pm PST, Nov 18   Anonymous Anaheim United States I cannot believe in a nation of people that allows such reckless destruction of the environment . Wolves are in their own territory , and even if they kill livestock , we have to understand that they were here first before people were . They would only see the livesetock as food the same way humans do , and should not be faulted . Killing thousands that are also not even responsible for livestock attacks is just disgusting to do just for sport . Wolves introduced to the area should never be killed when it is the fault of humans if they become destructive. humans are far more destructive to our planet and harm everyone . I want to see wolf hunting made illegal all over the United States .
1,448 8:48 am PST, Nov 16   Anonymous Miami United States Wolves have a much higher intelligence than humans want to give them credit for and us humans should take a lesson from the wolves on how to love and care for your family (pack). Wolves are magnificent, wonderful, glorious and full of spirit. We have no right to take away what God has put here on earth. Would you hang a human head on your wall to show off?
1,447 1:25 pm PST, Nov 15   Katie Meyer Willernie United States This will soon be out of hand and again they will be endangered
1,446 9:43 am PST, Nov 3 Ms. Love Animals Too Warwick United States
1,445 10:30 am PDT, Oct 29 Mr. Mike Madsen Alpine United States Wolves are a natural part of the ecosystem. The current hunting system is not based on any empirical evidence or scientific research of any kind and is purely emotional in basis. Wolf management needs to be done according to research and scientific method, not by the current tag and bag method.
1,444 5:26 pm PDT, Oct 24 Ms. Anonymous broomall United States i'm literally disgusted by whats going on. wolves are wild and we shouldnt interfere with them. don't start killing them now just for the fun of it. they have lives too.

1,440 3:54 pm PDT, Oct 14   Teng Rong Calgary Canada
1,439 10:09 am PDT, Oct 14 Ms. Mariah Hurd Kalispell United States I think it is so unbelieveable that these animals are be killed in there own terrioty where they are not harming anyone or any livestock. And farmers should have more alternative ideas in watching over there livestock.
1,438 5:29 am PDT, Sep 19   Hannah Pascoe Loxton Australia I Think Its wrong hunting these beautiful and magnificent animals but their still letting it happen STOP IT FROM HAPPENING
1,437 11:45 am PDT, Sep 13 Mr. Anonymous Santa Rosa United States Interfering with nature's balance for simple enjoyment should be a crime when are seeing a decline in our species and rapidly destroying our planet.
1,436 6:38 am PDT, Sep 13   Chris Ellis Vincentown United States My love of wolves started on a hiking/camping trip in B.C. A medium sized gray wolf over the course of 2 days causiously walked into my camp. He was surprisingly friendly. At first I thought he was somebody's pet, but I came to realize he was wild. It was as if he was a pet. He acted just as a family dog would. It was such a great experience, I wish I could live it all over again. Wolves are beautiful misunderstood animals who have been brought up to be beasts thanks to literature and film. Something must be done to help preserve the wolf population world wide.

1,434 5:36 pm PDT, Sep 10   Ryan Sullivan New York United States
1,433 9:56 am PDT, Sep 7   Marlane McInnis Scappoose United States The balance of nature has been all but destroyed by man. Please allow the symbiotic relatationship between animals and their habitat be restored, before there is no room for recovery.
1,432 6:41 pm PDT, Sep 6 Mr. Anonymous new port richey United States its trophy hunting only, let nature take care of itself
1,431 3:52 pm PDT, Sep 4   Anonymous Aynor United States this is so curl. when you kill an animal you not only kill them you kill everyone. how would you like it if you mom or dad got shot. when you kill an animal you leave helpless babies to defend themselves. you destroy families and packs!! don't do this it wrong and don't leave the pups behind to defend themsleves.
1,430 2:17 pm PDT, Sep 2   Esha Vogel St.Louis United States The wolves are just making a comeback! Why start hunting now, when in ten years you can hunt even more of them. Why hunt wolves at all, even? If obama really wants to help people, stop wolf hunting for good.
1,429 4:58 am PDT, Sep 2 Dr. Jon Dietrick Somerville United States
1,428 3:58 pm PDT, Sep 1 Ms. Deirdre Sokolowski Kanata Canada I think it is sick and wrong to hunt something just for the pleasure of it. If you are not going to eat the animal then you are just being cruel. A life is a life, it should be treated with respect. As well when trophy hunters hunt, they hunt to get the biggest and strongest animal therefore weakening the species rather than taking out the weakest link of the animals. Therefore making it more suseptable to becoming endangered.
1,427 7:53 pm PDT, Aug 31   Anonymous Warren United States Screw these losers. You kill wolves and we boycott your damn potatos. What will hurt Idaho worse? Hmmmmm.
1,426 3:40 pm PDT, Aug 15 Mr. kevin hansen fort mc murray Canada
1,425 9:06 pm PDT, Aug 9   Michael C Athy Ireland Wolves are beautiful animals, I think it is sick and wrong to kill them for there skin, that you can just shoot it and its yours, it has to stop, someday there wont be anymore animals left.
1,424 8:32 am PDT, Aug 8   Sue Ann Thornton Caney United States The slaughter of a beautiful animal just for it's skin or head as a trophy has NO place in a civilized and humane society. This practice has got to be stopped. We have got to find it in our hearts to leave wildlife live in peace and give them the space to do so!!!
1,423 7:10 pm PDT, Aug 2 Mr. Michael Ostrosky New Kensington United States
1,422 10:30 am PDT, Aug 2 Ms. carmen mcgrath manchester United Kingdom Because anilmals cant speak we assume we are superior to them what gives us the right to kill these gorgeous creatures

1,418 5:33 am PDT, Jul 6 Ms. Anonymous Hamm Germany Because animals are alive too!! I mean, they can feel pain, fear, stress like us. I want to expose a man (bastard) who uses facebook to publish his horrible black bear killings. He makes that in Alaska and I´m worried about. That´s sad und sick. I put here a link of his profil and of his killing, that hurts!. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1068914323113&comments http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1233739321

1,416 2:09 am PDT, Jun 22 Ms. Amanda Taylor Lake Mary United States
1,415 6:41 pm PDT, May 24   sarah gordon mt baldy United States As a supporter of Defenders of Wildlife and someone who cares about sound wildlife management, I strongly urge you to withdraw your support for the use of aircraft to hunt and kill Alaska's wolves and bears. Alaska is well known for its amazing wildlife and stunning natural beauty. It is appalling that your office and others in the state government continue to sanction the brutal aerial hunting of the state's majestic wolves and bears in nearly 60,000 square miles of the state. As I am sure you are aware, aerial hunting was outlawed by the federal government in 1972. Yet Alaska officials continue to skirt the law and permit aerial hunting, claiming that this terrible practice is necessary for wildlife management an assertion that is not supported by available data on wildlife population numbers. This unwarranted program often leads to inhumane deaths, with hunters in low-flying aircraft shooting down wolves or chasing them to exhaustion, and landing and killing the animal at close range. In some cases, wounded wolves escape, only to experience a slow, painful death. This program is an embarrassment to the State of Alaska, and it is past time that state officials put an end to this brutal and unnecessary program. The people that go hunting do not have any beauty or dignity and are the small minority of inapropriate old people that do this are ruining our peace of mind for the rest of the world. Thank you for considering my comments.
1,414 9:04 pm PDT, May 21 Ms. Maria Troutman Honolulu United States So called hunters like these people have no right to take an animal's life for the sole purpose of having parts of their bodies on their trophy wall. We the people are watching and we will not relent until this cruel sport is banned for good!
1,413 3:56 pm PDT, May 18   cathy pelletier juneau United States Who gives anyone the right to take the life of a fellow creature without the purpose of consuming this creature. Just for fun? Go to hell.

1,411 2:41 pm PDT, May 2 Ms. alison brattole brick United States
1,410 12:47 pm PDT, Apr 30   Susan Thomas polk United States I think killing wild animals for fun is horrible! Do they not have the right to live on earth?? Did God not put them here?? They belong here just as anyother animal. We have to many humans too including some horrible ones, should we just shoot them for fun also?
1,409 5:14 am PDT, Apr 22 Ms. Emily Minnick Blue Grass United States Trophy hunting is wrong. Animals are worth much more than just a trophy on the shelf or a pelt on the wall!

Rocky Mountain Adventures offers several costy hunting expeditions for the trophy hunter. From their pricing list, these are the animals which they will gladly guide you to the kill:

Wolves can be hunted on all hunts for no extra charge
Mountain Grizzly
Black Bear
Trophy Mountain Goat w/ Wolf
Trophy Canadian Moose w/ Wolf
Trophy Elk w/ Wolf
Deer, Mule Deer &/or Whitetail w/ Wolf
Combination Hunts
Primary Animal includes One Goat or Moose, Elk Black Bear, Deer, and Wolf
Canadian Timberwolf

The only purpose of these hunts is to further greed and ego by providing people a "trophy" for their stay in the pristine wilderness of which these animals are a vital part. Do you wish for the environment to remain a place of beauty and diversity? These animals will not always be a renewable resource, and with them gone, the environment which you claim to love so much will also be gone.

To quote your philosophy (from your website), "We love the outdoors! We enjoy hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, mountain biking and especially hunting. Spending time with people who share these interests has become our life’s focus. We are professionals! We are grounded in an unyielding focus on high quality, integrity and respect — for our guests, our guides and the animals we pursue."

There is no integrity or respect in offering up the life of another creature to serve the ego of mankind. We, the supporters of this petition, make a call to put an end to this kind of senseless slaughter.
