Why wear a seat belt if you are surrounded by high power rifles in hands of drunks and kids. Not to mention, we are in the wildlife territory, we invade them enough. Nature takes care of any overpopulation. Food is easy to buy. Hunting for the biggest bear or buck is sick. Also dangerous to humans and other pets. Unacceptable in this day and age. Rocky Mountain Adventures offers several costy hunting expeditions for the trophy hunter. From their pricing list, these are the animals which they will gladly guide you to the kill:
Wolves can be hunted on all hunts for no extra charge
Mountain Grizzly
Black Bear
Trophy Mountain Goat w/ Wolf
Trophy Canadian Moose w/ Wolf
Trophy Elk w/ Wolf
Deer, Mule Deer &/or Whitetail w/ Wolf
Combination Hunts
Primary Animal includes One Goat or Moose, Elk Black Bear, Deer, and Wolf
Canadian Timberwolf
The only purpose of these hunts is to further greed and ego by providing people a "trophy" for their stay in the pristine wilderness of which these animals are a vital part. Do you wish for the environment to remain a place of beauty and diversity? These animals will not always be a renewable resource, and with them gone, the environment which you claim to love so much will also be gone.
To quote your philosophy (from your website), "We love the outdoors! We enjoy hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, mountain biking and especially hunting. Spending time with people who share these interests has become our life’s focus. We are professionals! We are grounded in an unyielding focus on high quality, integrity and respect — for our guests, our guides and the animals we pursue."
There is no integrity or respect in offering up the life of another creature to serve the ego of mankind. We, the supporters of this petition, make a call to put an end to this kind of senseless slaughter.
