Limit the levy. Help end the abuse of power by the State of Florida and find justice for poor parents.

If a person owes child support in Florida and is having financial hardships the state does not care. They will take their entire savings to appease the debt by creating more problems for the individual by forcing them into even more difficult hardships including homelessness. This petition is to create a law that caps a levy to a variable of a person's net worth to ensure that the person will still be able to live within reasonable means. The era of Florida creating a larger problem by ruining parents' lives and forcing them into homelessness because of poverty must come to an end.

Dear government official,

The state is doing a massive injustice by taking 100% of a person's wealth when levying a parents account due to lack of child support payments. This creates a larger problem of homelessness by not allowing an individual the freedome to pay their primary responsibilities (home, car, food) and forcing them into a desperate situation that can lead to crime and other illegal activities as well as a relentless anger towards the state and the American system. The State needs to cap it's levies depending on a persons financial situation. For example: A person earning $12k a year with $3k in the bank should not have his funds garnished completely, a cap of %50 would ensure that the individual could still have enough to keep his life from facing a critical financial point. That would leave the individual with 1,500$ to at least be able to pay rent and eat another month without resorting to homelessness or criminal activity.
