1 Million Latinas Need Your Help to Protect Access to their Birth Control

For some of us, getting birth control seems like a no-brainer: get your prescription, go to your doctor or pharmacy, and take care of preventing pregnancy. But for more than 1 million Latinas who don't have access to health insurance and/or can't afford birth control, it is only the "Title X" family planning clinics where they can get contraception, along with testing for HIV and sexually transmitted infections, and life-saving cancer screenings.

These clinics are a lifeline for the women and men who qualify for and utilize their services—more than 4 million people annually. For Latinas, however, the need is especially dire. The need for access to affordable contraception has grown faster among Latinas than any other group, and already the demand far exceeds the capacity of existing clinics.

Despite the clear and growing need for Title X clinics and the services they provide, some politicians want to eliminate this program altogether. If they have their way, that means closing the doors on the very clinics millions of women and men rely on.

Join us to say NO to this extreme proposal, and protect affordable birth control for more than 1 million Latinas. Send a powerful message to these lawmakers: our health is not a political bargaining chip.
