Ask Cameron to stand with women and end violence

Najiba (pictured) became a paralegal advisor in Afghanistan with ActionAid because she wanted to do something about the routine and shocking violence faced by women around her. She has helped to resolve more than 100 cases of violence against women in Afghanistan, often putting her own safety at risk.

The UN have just agreed a historic target to end all forms of violence against women and girls. This is a big step – but a target alone isn't enough.

20 years on from the first world summit on women, a shocking 1 in 3 still face violence. Fearless women all over the world are standing up and speaking out, but to finally end violence, world leaders need to stand with them.

Our government can make this target work by:
  • Putting funding behind the new target
  • Making sure women's groups are leading the change
  • Working with key countries to develop national action plans on bringing down violence
  • Supporting a global monitoring report to track progress

You can help. Ask David Cameron to stand with fearless women now. We will deliver all signatures to David Cameron to make sure your voice is heard.
