More Income Tax Cuts = The Wrong Direction for Ohio

Governor Kasich’s latest tax proposal is the wrong direction for individuals, communities, and our economy. Ohio needs more revenue to invest in our future; another income tax cut is a clear step backward.

The proposed income tax cuts benefit the wealthy the most. Instead, we should invest in everything from roads and bridges to reducing college tuition, we can solve problems and build a future that benefits all Ohioans.

Major tax cuts since 2005 have already cost us billions, forcing major cuts to local governments, schools and more, without boosting our economy.

More of the same tax cut ideology is not the answer. Income tax cuts haven’t worked since 2005, and they won’t work now. Smart public investments – in education, local government and public safety – are the foundation of a strong Ohio economy.

Tell the Ohio state legislature to reject the Governor’s proposed income tax cuts!
Dear Governor Kasich,

Your latest tax proposal is the wrong direction for individuals, communities and our economy. Ohio needs more revenue to invest in our future; another income tax cut is a clear step backward.

The proposed income tax cuts benefit the wealthy the most. By investing in everything from roads and bridges to reducing college tuition, we can solve problems and build a future that benefits all Ohioans.

What's more, your proposal is also fiscally irresponsible. Trading stable revenue from the income tax with unknown sources like the oil and gas drilling tax passes the buck to future generations.

Major tax cuts since 2005 have already cost us billions, forcing major cuts to local governments, schools and more, without boosting our economy.

More of the same is not the answer. Income tax cuts haven’t worked since 2005, and they won’t work now. Smart public investments – in education, local government and public safety – are the foundation of a strong Ohio economy.
