Quit the Bickering! Give the U.S. Real Health Insurance Reform
Target:Republican Members of Congress Sponsored by:SEIU
Just the other week, President Obama delivered a historic address to a joint session of Congress. In it, he laid out a clear, detailed vision for health insurance reform and a concrete plan to get it done. He even extended a hand to Republicans in Congress, asking for their help to forge a bipartisan approach to solving the health care crisis.
Their response? More personal attacks. Instead of engaging in legitimate debate about the President's plan, they attacked his character. Republican Congressman Joe Wilson went so far as to yell at the President in the middle of his address - calling him a liar.
The Republican Party has hit rock bottom. They're out of ideas, out of support, and they're resorting to temper tantrums in the cradle of our democracy.
Will you help turn the conversation back to the things that really matter? Tell Republicans in Congress to quit bickering, quit playing political games, and start working toward real health insurance reform.

Health insurance reform is important to me because not only do I need coverage, I have an 18 yr old that has Diabetes Type I and will not survive with out health insurance. Soon he will have to provide that for himself and how will he ever afford it while trying to graduate from high school and then college. So you see a reform is definately important to me and my family.

I beg you, don't allow the insurance companies and their lobbyists ruin this country's chance for meaningful health care change. The current Health Care Reform Bill may not be perfect, anything that large is bound to have small problems, but the majority of it is sound. This bill needs to be passed as quickly as possible by the Senate. Any of the small issues within the bill can be worked out in the months and years to come, AFTER the reform is in place and working for the good of all Americans.
