I strongly urge you consider the legalization of the currently illegal drug marijuana. It is absolutely absurd that this relatively harmless drug is illegal and is causing our prisons to overflow with non-violent individuals. Keep this in mind. In this country marijuana is a class 1 narcodic, the same class as heroin and methamphetamine. Yet, there has never been a recorded case of anyone, under any circumstances having a lethal overdose of marijuana.
In closing I would like to say that this is not just for recreational users, but for the millions of people dying of cancer and AIDS. To finally make it legal to ease their suffering.

Plus if we legalise weed then it will no longer be a gateway drug and we can control who may sell and buy it. Plus you will take loads of money out of the gangsters hands. | |

| 3,118 | 7:24 am PDT, Oct 25 | patti okeefe | 17 | westosha | Wisconsin | United States | marijuana is not a drug. it is an herb- a plant- au natural. "this ain't about legalization, it's about appreciating nature as the foundation for this nation. we should embrace it, not just take it for granted. my God, he planted it around the planet. some people find me to be unpatriotic, but then again, some people think that weed's a narcotic. what strikes me as odd, i find it slightly ironic, that antibiotics are more habit-forming than pot is. and they pop so many pills that it almost looks robotic. it's beyond addictive, aspirin is almost hypnotic. without it, every single thing would turn psychotic. we'd all be neurotically charged and nuerotic." |

I don't understand where you guys are getting at making marijuana illegal. Tobbacco kills hundreds of thousands of people every year. Alcohol does the same thing with alcohol poisoning and drunk drivers. When marijuana kills 0.0000000 people. WOW! Pretty interesting government. Marijuana is not addictive either. Listen to the people. |

Also, marijuana is an excellent cash crop which could produce great revenue for investors. Every year tobbacco and alcohol kill hundereds of thousands. Marijuana? 0... I can't understand why anyone would criminalize marijuana while drunks kill innocent people in car accidents every day. In fact, 700,000 U.S. citizens are arrested every year on marijuana related charges, when policemen could be doing something legitimate. You decide.... |
