Tell China: Save the Tigers!

At most, there are 50 individual tigers living in China today. These majestic cats are threatened by a shrinking habitat and poachers who sell their bodies for use in traditional Chinese medicine, rugs, and coats. Experts think that the South China Tiger is already extinct.

Unfortunately, a lack of strong, consistent enforcement negates efforts to protect the tigers, such as the law banning the use of tiger parts in medicine. Some stabilizing efforts have given hope to the northeast tigers, but even that number is disturbingly low.

These tigers need help. Tell China to take a firm stance on their dwindling tiger population, and create and enforce more laws to protect Chinese tigers.

Dear President Hu Jintao,
