We the undersigned request that you put a stop to suspended sentences which reduce jail time for criminals who are molesting children.
We demand that even if tried together, multiple offenses of child molestation each be considered separately.
We demand that multiple child molestation receive a penalty of life in prison.
We demand the highest level protection for children and their voices to be heard.
We demand the judges who give suspended sentences have to state why and that the prosecutor and or victim's family can request a hearing to overturn the suspended sentencing.

Text: On 1-5-07, Timothy Jean, age 43, of Wasilla, was sentenced in Palmer court to 20 years (5 suspended) for Sexual Abuse of a Minor 1, and 5 years (3 years suspended) for Possession of Child Pornography, for
abusing his 11 year old step-daughter for several years. The Alaska Bureau of Investigation Child Abuse Investigative Unit (CAIU) had received a report on 7-27-05 from a juvenile who reported that her 11
year old friend had told her that her step father had been sexually abusing her for several years. ABI Investigators and the State Crime Lab
Crime Scene Investigators responded to their residence in Wasilla. Based upon this investigation, Jean was arrested on 8-29-05 with bail set at
$105,000. Jean had been in custody since his arrest. Jean was a retired Army Recruiter who recently retired in Alaska. DNA evidence was a significant factor in this case.
