Put People in Charge of Our Democracy, Not Corporate Polluters

Extreme drought and raging wildfires are just some of the consequences we’re seeing in California. Warming oceans are killing off native species and rising seas are increasing the risk of devastating floods. Big oil and coal companies are spending huge sums in politics, funding efforts to stifle any action that might impact their profits.
But we can take back our government if we work together. The Government By the People Act (H.R. 20), cosponsored by more than 150 other members of Congress, would combat the influence of big money in politics, raise civic engagement, and amplify the voice of average Americans.

For too long, polluters have harmed the health of our families and our environment, and since the Citizens United ruling, they have been harming our democracy as well. The price we all pay for letting unlimited dirty energy money into our elections is just too high, and we must fight back.
