Voting Rights At Risk: Protect Our Right to Vote

The U.S. Supreme Court is reviewing the constitutionality of the Voting Rights Act (VRA) of 1965 in a case which will ultimately decide whether millions of voters could face new barriers to voting. The Voting Rights Act is an essential part of American democracy. It ensures that every American citizen, regardless of race, has an equal right to vote.

If the Justices overturn the VRA, it would be the single biggest setback for voting rights in history. Pledge to defend the Voting Rights Act and the right to vote.

The VRA remains critical to ensuring that every American can have his or her vote counted. The thought that the Supreme Court might take away voting rights should send a chill down the spine of every American.

Pledge to protect the Voting Rights Act and right to vote for all eligible citizens.
I am joining with the League of Women Voters to honor, defend and protect our constitutional right to vote.

I believe that our elections should be free, fair and accessible to all eligible citizens.

I will fight all forms of voter suppression, protect voting rights for all and defend the Voting Rights Act.

I will vote in each and every election and encourage my fellow Americans to do the same. Voting is the one time when we are all equal. Voting allows us to take control of our community and America's future by having an impact on the critical issues and policies debated by our policymakers.
