There never seems to be enough help when it comes to homeless, helpless animals so when a facility is recognized for its selfless acts of kindness and compassion, like the Sydney Dogs and Cats Home, they deserve support to carry on.  Sydney Dogs and Cats Home (SDCH) is in danger of closure unless they can get the financial support necessary to continue the critical work they do in saving and protecting animals.  Read more on the issue at http://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsandnature/how-you-can-help-animal-shelter-facing-closure/

The shelter is a fun friendly place where animals are rescued from danger.  Since it opened its doors back in 1946, more than 3,000 animals have been saved annually, providing them necessary medical care, food, water and shelter.  They then stay in the facility until they can find their forever home.  SDCH not only provides safety for rescues and the homeless critters, it is also a wonderful resource for potential adopters.  Because of their care, awesome management and exclusive reputation, there is a relatively quick turnaround for animal adoptions.

The SDCH in Australia needs to continue its crucial work for the community but they are in dire need of help and support in order to do so.  The effort in this petition is to encourage Premier Baird to for help so that the facility can stay open and provide a service in protecting animals.  Help is urgently needed and you can help in this effort by signing and sharing this petition, adding your own thoughts and comments.  Let’s get the SDCH the help it needs to carry on its selfless deeds.

Premier of New South Wales Mike Baird – I strongly urge you to provide necessary support to the Sydney Dogs and Cats Home (SDCH) so that they can continue their critical work for helpless, homeless animals.  This facility is in danger of closing down unless you can help them to stay open, up and running.  This is a critical facility in the community and would be a tremendous loss for the area animals in need. With the many animals on the streets that are hungry, thirsty and in need of medical attention, it is crucial that provide the SDCH with the necessary financial and physical support they need so they can save, serve and protect these defenseless animals.
